Executive Educational Consultant
As a university professor and longtime tutor in literature and writing, Patrick has been deeply involved in standardized test prep, college essay editing, and humanities teaching for the past 15 years.
His own high school scores included Finalist standing as a National Merit Scholar, then a 1560 (800 verbal, 760 math) on his first and only attempt at the SAT.
He then attended Johns Hopkins University on the Hodson Merit Scholarship, graduating Phi Beta Kappa with a triple major in Writing, English, and Art History.
From there, he earned advanced degrees in the Johns Hopkins Writing Seminars (MFA, 2010) and the McGill Department of English (MA, 2012), teaching at each university during his time as a graduate student.
Patrick currently specializes in SAT/ACT/PSAT prep, SSAT/ISEE prep, AP English prep, and college essay consulting. He also tutors the verbal portions of the GRE and GMAT.
Before joining Summit Prep, he actively taught courses and created curriculum materials in all of these areas. His work as a professor, writer, and editor has spanned traditional university seminars at Kean University and digital content creation at GradeSaver.com, roles that he continues in at present.
